SUCCESS IN 2007!

Two of the riders we have prepared engines for this year have been very successful.

Jon Woodcock, from Crofton, Wakefield, has won the 2007 New Era Formula 600 championship. A consistent finisher all year and with race wins at the pen-ultimate rounds Mallory Park, he thanks us for preparing a very powerful yet reliable engine for his CBR600RR.

Jon has just purchased a Yamaha R6 and we will be preparing the bike for him after our 2007 TT and Aintree c/ship success with Roy Richardson.

TT ace Roy Richardson, from Bispham in Blackpool, has won the 2007 Aintree MCRRC Formula 600 championship. After competing at just two of the five Aintree club championship meetings, Roy won both of the Formula 600 races on his Barnes Racing R6 Yamaha.

Due to inconsistent rides by his competitors and the final race being for double points due the cancellation of the first Aintree races in May, Roy snatched the title from 2006 Aintree champion and St Annes fireman, Pete Whiteside.

Richardson made a good start from the front row and took the race lead on the third lap after a slip stream manouvre out of the 120mph Beechers corner down the back straight.

'I knew the championship win was on the cards. I tried to put that out of my mind as I needed to win the final race to be in with a chance of the title. The bike was very fast and handling well. I wanted to get to the front as early as possible and make a break so the others couldn't get into my slipstream and pass me the same way!' said Roy after the race.

'Many thanks to 2wheelsonline and Kevin Mawdsley for all the help they have given me this year!'

As well as supplying race accessories, we also race tune motorcycle engines. We specialise in the Honda CBR600RR and have had race success with Kevin Mawdsley, Paul Owen and Pete Whiteside.

Our stage 1 tune uses the std cams to keep costs down and reliability up! A head skim with port modifications, gas flowing and retiming the std cams gives a significant power increase. When this is done and a full race exhaust and Power Commander is used to adjust the fuelling, the bikes give approx. 122bhp. The stage 1 tune is £499.

Fitting KMR bellmouths gives another 2 bhp and the full HRC kit wiring loom (which we supply) gives another 700rpm.

If you want to know more or book an engine in for tuning for any Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki or Yamaha, call the number at the top of the page.
